Treatment Costs

We provide dental treatment on a Private basis, Medical Card Dental Service and examinations/health screening if covered under the RSI dental scheme. Medical cards must be presented at each dental appointment to ensure you are covered for your treatment. We cannot reimburse patients for treatment done privately if they later qualify for the Medical Card schemes, as we need to validate entitlement on the day of treatment.

RSI Dental Scheme

The RSI Dental Scheme now covers one annual dental examination only.

The Medical Card (GMS Scheme)

North Eastern Medical Cards entitles a patient to basic dental treatment free of charge. This includes one check up, a maximum of two filling over a 12 month period, extractions, dentures by approval only. More advanced dental treatment or cosmetic work such as tooth whitening is not covered under this scheme.
