Botox® and Collagen Fillers

Everyone knows that regular exercise and a balanced diet are two important ways to stay healthy, feel well and look good. But nothing can stop time passing whether we like it or not, we all grow older and it shows in our faces.

There are several things that we can do to help maintain our youthful glow. For example:

Use sunscreens every day when going out in the sun.
Don't smoke - it is linked to premature wrinkles
Eat a healthy diet including fresh fruit and vegetables
Drink plenty of water
Apply moisturiser to help keep skin smooth

Overtime wrinkles and lines form when the skin becomes less elastic and flexible. This is a normal part of the ageing process, and it would be artificial to keep it at bay indefinitely. It is important to think, however, about how lines and wrinkles make you look to those around you. Frown lines can make you look more tired, angry or older than you really are. What's more, lines are often linked with negative emotions, which we would all rather avoid.

Botox® Treatment

The procedure takes around 15 minutes, during which your practitioner will ask you to pull some facial expressions in order to understand your facial muscles. Your practitioner will then use a very thin needle to inject the diluted product into the appropriate muscle.

5 Days plus

Over the course of 5-10 days you will begin to see the effect of the treatment.

The smoothing effect of the treatment lasts up to 4 months, so repeated treatment will be necessary to maintain the effect.

Collagen Treatments

Collagen treatments replaces lost volume and treats static facial lines by replenishing the natural hyaluronic acid content of the skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate and add volume. It is injected gently under the skin to instantly restore the skins volume, smooth away facial wrinkles and folds and redefine lips.

The procedure takes 15-20 minutes and requires local anaesthetic. The results are immediate and you will not need any time off work. The effects will last approx 12 months.
