Dr Conor Irwin
Qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 1987 and spent 10 years in general practice in the South of England. On his return in 1998 he set up Ratoath Dental Centre and it has developed and grown ever since. Conor’s wife Paula, his late father and sister are/were all dentists so there is a strong tradition of dentistry in his family. Conor has a great interest in all aspects of dentistry but is renowned for his caring approach to children and nervous patients in particular. He has been practising sedation for over twenty years. Cosmetic dental techniques are a major part of his dental practice.

Dr Regina Flanagan
Graduated from the University of Birmingham. Originally from Co. Armagh she is renowned for her friendliness, kindness, patience and gentle touch when dealing with patients in pain or those who are extremely nervous. She has a special interest in Restorative dentistry (white fillings, crowns, root treatments etc) and oral surgery. Further post graduate training keeps her up to date with all the latest techniques and ensure painless, high quality dentistry. Her expertise also include anti wrinkle injects to even out crows feet, frown lines, laughter and forehead lines. Regina is a fan of the ‘’six month smile system’’ orthodintics which straightens teeth in less than 6-9 months.

Dr Paula Irwin
Qualified from Cardiff University in 1991 and was in general practice in Hampshire U.K. for 7 years before moving to Ireland with her husband Conor and their three children. Paula is a very meticulous dentist and has developed a tremendous reputation. Paula has a special interest in Endodontics (Root Canal treatment) and is a member of the Irish Endodontic Society.

Orthodontist:
Dr.Georges Takla
Graduated from St Joseph’s University Dental School (Lebanon) in 1991 and was a clinical lecturer for four years while also running his own private practice. In 1995 he gained further specialist training in The Eastman Hospital, London and in hospitals affiliated to Guy’s and The Royal London. At present he also works in the Cleft Palate Orthodontic unit in St James’s Hospital mainly treating patients with severe facial irregularities. Georges has a great deal of experience in all modern orthodontic appliance treatments. These include clear, non-metal braces using the Invisalign system.
Periodontist and Implantologist:

Dr Lochlann Walsh
Qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 1987 and was in general practice for three years before undertaking a three year post graduate degree in Periodontics and Dental Implantology from Harvard Dental School, Boston, USA . He has also completed a fellowship in Dental Implantology from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. Lochlann is now based in Ireland and limits his practice to the treatment of gum diseases and dental implants. Lochlann comes highly recommended and we are fortunate to have him as part of our team. He has a lovely understanding manner which is greatly appreciated by his patients.
Hygienists:
Sandra Clarke
From Ballivor Co.Meath qualified from Dublin Dental Hospital in 1990. She also has a diploma in Dental Health Education from the Royal Society of Health In London (1987), and has been working with us in Ratoath for about seven years now. Sandra is skilled in assessment and treatment of periodontal conditions and reinforcement of good dental hygiene techniques. She has a relaxed and kindly manner and is a valuable member of our team .
Colette Sheridan
Started her dental career in 2001 as a Dental Nurse and qualified from the Dublin Dental School & Hospital. In order to promote the importance of long term oral health and prevention of dental problems, she gained a Specialist Certificate in Oral Health Promotion from NUI Galway in 2007. Colette then achieved her Higher Diploma in Dental Hygiene at Trinity College Dublin in 2009, where she was also awarded the Densply prize for clinical excellence. Colette experience working with children in Our Lady’s Hospital Crumlin with oncological patients, St James Hospital with haemotaological disorders and Dublin Dental Hospital with head and neck cancer and special needs clinic etc is an indication of her professional, but gentle manner with patients .
